A thorough comparison of GRØN protein blends ~ Nutritionist's Column Vol.19 (Part 1)
What nutrients does GRØN actually contain?
GRØN currently offers four different protein blends.
Green Monster is a soy protein blend containing green superfoods that supports those who are dieting, cleansing, or aiming for a beautiful, ideal body.
Red Heat is a blend of soy protein containing superfoods such as root vegetables and goji berries, which supports healthy and youthful daily life by warming your body and improving your intestinal health.
Criollo Berries is a blend of cocoa, superfood berries and pea protein (derived from peas) that does not contain 28 specific allergenic ingredients.
" Matcha All-Stars " is a blend of organic matcha, moringa, mulberry leaves and pea protein (derived from peas) that does not contain 28 specific allergenic ingredients.
While you know that the 4-protein blend contains superfoods based on soy and peas, you may be wondering what nutrients are in it and how much of each.
By analyzing and quantifying the nutrients, it becomes easier to understand how much of each ingredient is contained.
Therefore, in addition to the five major nutrients, we analyzed the minerals and amino acids necessary for beauty and health. We selected the results and compiled them in a ranking format.
(All of the following measurements were taken at a third-party research institute.)
Here is a summary of the nutritional content of the four protein blends:
mineral
First, the minerals.
iron
Iron deficiency also affects beauty.
Iron deficiency is a big enemy for women, as it can cause a pale, tired look, damage to hair and nails, and affect skin metabolism, causing dry skin and makeup to not stick well.
Iron is normally obtained from food. The iron contained in food is divided into heme iron and non-heme iron.
Heme iron, which is bound to protein, is found in large amounts in animal foods such as meat and fish.
Inorganic iron other than heme iron is called non-heme iron, and is found in large amounts in plant-based foods.
Most modern women suffer from iron deficiency, falling below the recommended daily intake. Since menstruating women are already prone to iron deficiency, it is important for them to be conscious of their iron intake for the sake of their health and beauty.

calcium
The main component of bones and teeth.
It is an essential nutrient for maintaining life, as it assists in muscle contraction and relaxation, blood clotting, information transmission between nerve cells, immune function, regulation of hormone secretion, and enzyme function.
Calcium becomes especially important for women as they reach the age of 40 and approach menopause.
There is a very close relationship between female hormones and calcium, and the female hormone estrogen plays a role in suppressing the removal of calcium from the bones.
During menopause, the secretion of female hormones inevitably decreases, calcium absorption decreases, and calcium is lost from the bones, making you more susceptible to fractures and making your bones porous.
Calcium also plays a role in maintaining the skin's ability to retain moisture, so it is very important for beauty and health.
Vitamin D, which helps with calcium absorption, can also be produced through exposure to ultraviolet rays from the sun, so it is important to take in calcium and then sunbathe at the same time.

It is a component found mainly in skeletal muscles, bones, skin, liver, brain, kidneys, etc. Zinc acts as a support for our body.
For example, it promotes the metabolism of vitamin A in the body and activates antioxidant properties, improves the immune system, and promotes protein metabolism, improving skin and hair problems.

Dietary fiber
An essential nutrient for dieting and beautiful skin.
When your intestinal environment improves, you will be able to absorb nutrients properly, your immune system will be strengthened, and constipation will be relieved, leading to clearer skin.
There are two types of dietary fiber: insoluble dietary fiber, which easily absorbs water, increases the volume of stool and promotes bowel movements, and soluble dietary fiber, which increases the number of good bacteria in the intestines.
To improve your intestinal environment, we recommend a combination of dietary fiber and fermented foods.
(Vegan) Yogurt and GRØN are also great for intestinal health.
If you suffer from severe constipation, you may not be consuming enough fluids, so it is important to drink plenty of fluids.

Ballin
It is one of the essential amino acids that must be taken from the diet. It is a member of the branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) family, which has a branched-chain structure like leucine and isoleucine. Along with leucine and isoleucine, it acts on the muscles and liver, is metabolized in the muscles, and becomes an energy source. It also acts on the uptake of precursor substances for neurotransmitters in the brain, promoting nervous system function and is expected to relieve stress.

Tryptophan
Tryptophan increases the brain hormone serotonin, which controls mood and emotions and keeps you calm.
Serotonin is a brain hormone known as the happiness hormone, and is deeply related to mental health and sleep. When you are under a lot of stress, the amount of serotonin decreases, so it is recommended that you take tryptophan.
Tryptophan is also a must for people who can't sleep. The hormone melatonin, which has a hypnotic effect, is also made from tryptophan.
