FRAGMENTED GARDEN @SHEEP STUIDO in Kyojima, Sumida Ward
GRØN participated in FRAGMENTED GARDEN , an exhibition by Colombian-born, London-based artist DANIEL SILVA.
This is an illustration exhibition held as part of the TOKYO TOKYO FESTIVAL.
*TOKYO TOKYO FESTIVAL is an event planned to deliver excitement from a cultural perspective in Tokyo as the host city of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The event is organized by OFFLINE VENTURES, which runs international artist programs throughout Japan.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Council for History and Cultural Properties, a public interest incorporated foundation, provided cooperation.
The venue is SHEEP STUDIO in Kyojima, Sumida Ward.
Due to COVID-19, the event was held on a very limited scale,
On May 30th, the first weekend since the state of emergency was lifted, food based on the concept of this event was provided along with the exhibition.
To ensure safety, meals served on the day were bento style.
GRØN provided the ingredients used here.
GRØN protein powder and pancake mix.
Due to the effects of the current coronavirus pandemic, seasonal vegetables from Okinawa have been left without a home due to a sharp decline in tourists.
These are foods that not only help create a healthy body, but also foods that are especially important to eat now.
This piece added a touch of elegance to the theme of food with an eye to the future.
For this project, which had the theme of "Food of the Future," we worked with the Italian food research institute FUTURE FOOD and Estonia-born creative chef EVA KASS HIRAI to create the piece.
I would like to carry these feelings that I have gained at a time like this into the future.
